Cowberries

Frozen cowberries are fruits derived from the plant of the same name and frozen shortly after harvesting. Cowberries are characteristic of the North American and European regions where they grow wild, but nowadays cowberries are becoming increasingly common around the world.

Cowberries are rich in vitamin C and also contain B vitamins and minerals such as potassium, magnesium and calcium. They are also rich in fibre and in antioxidants such as proanthocyanidins, which help protect against heart disease, cancer and other diseases associated with the ageing process.

Frozen cowberries are convenient and can be used in a variety of dishes and desserts, especially those with cakes or juices. The freezing process preserves their flavour and nutritional value just like fresh ones, allowing these fruits to be available all year round.
