Chokeberry

Chokeberry, also known as black rowan, is one of the healthiest berries available today. It has an intense, tart flavour and is a rich source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Frozen chokeberries are an excellent way to supply your body with these valuable ingredients all year long.

The freezing process involves rapidly cooling the fresh berries after harvesting, then packaging and storing them at temperatures below -18°C. Thanks to this process, frozen chokeberries retain their flavour and nutritional value just like fresh chokeberries.

Frozen chokeberries are rich in vitamins C, A and E, also contain B vitamins and minerals such as potassium, magnesium and calcium. Importantly, it is also rich in antioxidants, including anthocyanins, which help protect against heart disease, cancer and other diseases associated with the ageing process.

Frozen chokeberry is a versatile kitchen ingredient. It can be added to jams, preserves, tinctures and as an addition to yoghurts, muesli, cakes or smoothies. It can also be used in dietary supplements.
